Shake it out, brush it or vacuum it. If it gets soaked, lift it and let it dry flat. Do not machine wash.

Good to know
  • It sheds at first. New coir loses loose fiber for the first few weeks. Shake it out or vacuum it; it settles.
  • Keep it under cover. Sun and standing water fade a print and wear coir sooner.
  • It can shift on smooth floors. A woven back has no non-slip layer. On polished tile, choose vinyl-backed.
  • Check the door. At 1″ it sits in front of the door, or under one with at least 1¼″ of clearance.
