- Thickness. If the door swings over the mat, measure the gap under it first and leave ¼″ over the mat’s thickness.
About this mat
Footing for hooves.
Stiff coconut fiber gives a hoof something to bite into on a wet ramp, and two inches of it takes the drum out of a trailer floor. The big floor mats weigh 48 to 68 lb, so they stay put.

Care
Shake it out or sweep it. Hose it down when it needs it, then hang it or stand it on edge until it is dry all through before it goes back in the trailer.
Good to know
- It sheds at first. New coir loses loose fiber for the first few weeks. Shake it out or vacuum it; it settles.
