Size at the door

- Length. Aim for four-fifths of the door’s width or more. For a 36″ door, 30″ or longer.
- Width. 18″ to 24″ takes one good wipe of each foot. Go deeper on a wide landing.
- Thickness. If the door swings over the mat, measure the gap under it first and leave ¼″ over the mat’s thickness.
About this mat
Straight to the door, round to the step.
The flat edge lines up with the threshold and the curve softens a wide stoop. A black border finishes the edge.

Care
Shake it out, brush it or vacuum it. If it gets soaked, lift it and let it dry flat. Do not machine wash.
Good to know
- It sheds at first. New coir loses loose fiber for the first few weeks. Shake it out or vacuum it; it settles.
- Keep it under cover. In standing water or full sun coir darkens and wears sooner.
- It can shift on smooth floors. A woven back has no non-slip layer. On polished tile, choose vinyl-backed.
- Check the door. At 1″ it sits in front of the door, or under one with at least 1¼″ of clearance.
